If you are on a tour of Rajasthan, you should mandatory visit the Mount Abu Hill station. Mount Abu is one of the most famous tourist places in Rajasthan.
Rajasthan, as a tourist place have many things to offer. Rajasthan is also known as the Land of Kings and the Land of Colors. It is the largest state of India. On your Rajasthan tour, do remember to visit Kalibanga, the ancient most city of the Indus Valley Civilization located in India. Rajasthan is also a home to the Keoladeo National Park. Keoladeo National Park is a world heritage site and is most famous for its collection of the different species of the world. Apart from these two, Rajasthan also has two famous tiger conservation parks by the name Ranthambore Tiger Reserve and Sariska Tiger Reserve. The largest Indian Desert, The Thar, is also located in Rajasthan. The Aravallis, one of the oldest mountain ranges of the world, also runs in the north western areas of Rajasthan. It is within the Aravallis, that the only hill station of Rajasthan, Mount Abu, is situated.
Mount Abu is the highest peak of the Aravalli ranges. It is located in the Sirohi district of Rajasthan. The old name of Mount Abu was “Arbudaanchal”. The highest peak of Mount Abu is the Guru Shikhar which lies at a height 1722 meters above sea level. The locals of the Sirohi district call this peak as the “oasis in the desert” as it is from here that many rivers, lakes, waterfalls etc. arise. No one can call his or her Rajasthan Tours

Among the good places to be visited in the Mount Abu hill station is the Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary which was established in 1960. The Dilwara temples are yet another famous tourist site. The Dilwara temples are an epitome of complex architecture. These are a series of temples carved out of white marble and dedicated to Jain Tirthankaras. Your next stop should be the Achalgarh Fort which was built by Rana Kumbha of Mewar. The Achalgarh Fort is also a haven to many Jain Temples. Nakki Lake is an escape for people who like to be around the water. While you are on your Rajasthan tour, Mount Abu will offer to you many different kinds of temples, best known for their exquisite and unique architecture. If you wish to rekindle, your spiritual site, you should stop by Madhuban, which is the headquarters of the Brahma Kumari World Spiritual University.
To reach Mount Abu, take a train which will drop you at the Abu Road, which is 27km southeast of the Mount Abu town. The Abu Road station lies on the lines of the main Indian Railways and thus, one can easily get a train from any of the major stations of the country. From the Mount Abu road, take a bus or a car. In the scorching heat of Rajasthan, Mount Abu is a much needed escape and hence, a must stop by in the Rajasthan tour.
